CSCS - Construction Skills Certification Scheme
CSCS was set up to help the construction industry to reduce accidents and improve standards.
CSCS cards are demanded as proof of occupational competence by most employers including contractors, public & private clients and others. Covering hundreds of jobs whatever you do in the construction industry there will be a card that is appropriate for you.

Health and safety testing
(required before CPCS Tests are completed)
This is done through your local driving test centre. Opening times are flexible and include evenings and weekends.
Telephone the H&S booking line (0870 600 4020) and book a test, the test will be booked at a centre convenient for you. Costing £35 (including VAT) per candidate; you may pay by credit card or they will send you a form which you must complete and return with a cheque.
Be ready to give the following information:
· Full names
· CSCS Registration number (if applicable)
To confirm your booking, you will be sent a study book and questions with the correct answers.
The test involves answering 35 questions in 40 minutes. The questions are multiple-choice, answered via a touch-screen computer. Help will be available to take you through a practice session before the test, if you wish.
