Dumper Trucks - History

These are very common on almost all building sites, they range in sizes. The majority are 4 wheel drive with a diesel engine.

Some dumper trucks have conventional rear wheel steering, but many articulate in the middle, which results in a very manoeuvrable machine which reduces the amount of damage to the ground.

The dumpers hydraulic tipping hopper usually tips forwards, many manufacturers however offer the option of a turntable mounted hopper, which enables the operator to side tip as well.
