Course Overview
The NPORS Loading Shovel (N209) course is designed for both current operators and newcomers to loading shovel operations. This course will provide you with theoretical and practical knowledge to operate loading shovels safely in the workplace.
Prerequisites

​CITB Health, Safety & Environmental Test: Candidates must have passed this test within the last two years (if applying for a CSCS card)

English Proficiency: A good understanding of spoken and written English is required.

Overview of the Loading Shovel course. A basic understanding of the industry and the responsibilities of an operator.

Regulations: Adhering to manufacturers' requirements and relevant regulations.

Working Environment: Identifying safe working areas and exclusion from other works, pedestrian safety, and site conditions.

Loading Vehicles: Safe loading of Dumpers, Tipper lorries, hoppers and tipping into excavations.

Correct Transport Of Loads: Correct methods for transportation of various materials

Safety: Ensuring the safety of all loading shovel operations.

How Long Will It Take?
Typically 1-5 days (depending on individual or group training needs). Refresher and Test: 1 day.

What Qualification Will I Receive?
On successful completion, you will receive the NPORS Loading Shovel (N209) Card, valid for 5 years.
